- Property division and allocation of debt. We can assist you with the valuation of your marital assets, including, but not limited to, the marital home, the projected value of your retirement accounts/pensions and the value of family-owned businesses. - Spousal maintenance/alimony. Maintenance, formerly called "alimony," is not automatically granted in divorce proceedings in Illinois. We will help you determine whether a grant of spousal maintenance is warranted and, if so, the amount, frequency and duration of payments.
- Requests for modification or enforcement. If your divorce is final, but your circumstances have changed or your ex-spouse is not abiding by the terms of the judgment, we will help you file the necessary documents and request the modification or enforcement of the existing divorce judgment.
- Relocation/removal issues. We work with men and women in situations where one party seeks to move to another state or community and where the move will require a change in visitation.
- Domestic violence matters. We represent individuals in proceedings to obtain or deny orders for protection.
